Cascade High School is showing the film “The Mountain Runners” at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, in the school cafeteria.

This documentary features America’s first mountain adventure race from Bellingham to the top of Mount Baker and back. The race took place from 1911-1913. Prize money was offered to the first finisher. Many started the race, but few finished.

Both directors will be in attendance to talk about their film. The event is free to the public. Donations will be taken at the door.
