An informational session on studying abroad will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, in Brier Hall at Edmonds Community College, 20000 68th Ave. W, Lynnwood. There will be free treats, and faculty leading the program will be on hand.
Participants can learn about upcoming programs in Cape Town, South Africa; Kunming, China; Alajuela, Costa Rica; Tokyo, Japan; and Prague, Czechoslovakia. Faculty leading the programs will be in attendance.
All study abroad programs, where you can earn credits toward your Edmonds CC degree, feature new cultural experiences and different learning environments. Lodging will also be provided.
You do not need to know a foreign language to participate in the program, and financial aid may be available.
"This is a great chance to enhance your resume,” said Danyelle Leggett, a member of the college’s International Program. “You can also stand out to a four-year university, learn a new language, become a part of a new culture, make new friends, and maybe even discover yourself."
