Volunteers sought to fight domestic violence
Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County presents a five-week, 21-hour Community Education and Volunteer Training Class from April 21 to May 19, in downtown Everett.
Classes will be held from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Mondays and from 9-3 Saturday, April 28.
Classes are provided free of charge to volunteers willing to commit 10 hours of volunteer time within a six-month period for Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County.
Class Topics Include: An Overview & History of Domestic Violence; Domestic Violence & the Effects on Children; In Her Shoes; DV & Drugs & Alcohol; Safety Planning; Sexual Assault; Legal Advocacy; Diversity; Volunteer Opportunities at DVS.
Light snacks & break time provided.
