Update: Edmonds Police Investigate Bank Robbery

The robber implied that he was armed with a handgun.

Edmonds Police responded to a bank robbery at Key Bank, 9930 Edmonds Way on Monday, Oct. 22, at 2:37 p.m. 

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years of age, 5’09” tall, thin build wearing a gray and green beanie-type cap, an olive green sweater horizontal gray stripes, and baggy blue jeans.  The robber implied that he was armed with a handgun. 

The suspect fled from the bank on foot.

Edmonds Police with the assistance of a Lynnwood Police K-9 Unit conducted a search of the surrounding area. 

As a precaution, Westgate and Sherwood Elementary Schools as well as Scriber Lake High School were placed in lockdown. 

All three schools resumed regular activities at 3:10 p.m.

No one was injured during the crime.

Update: Edmonds Police Investigate Bank Robbery

Key Bank has produced an additional surveillance photograph of today’s armed robber that displays his black tennis shoes with a white design on the sides.
