Kids, teens and adults built sand sculptures under a gray sky on Tuesday, Aug. 12, to compete in the Edmonds Sand-sculpting Contest. (from left to right) Rory O’Day, Mike O’Day, Julie Perrine, Uli Starlord, Molly Martin, Camille Perrine, and Chiara and Ali Serafini worked together on a tribute to the late Robin Williams, which they titled “Mork-a-saurus.” Over 34 teams competed in three categories: adults and families, children and daycamp/daycares. The top three winners in each category took home salt-water taffy awards provided by Nama’s Candy.
