you get into a discussion with one of the local Ecos, ask him / her, that as the planet has rebounded from the LAST little ice age, why wouldn't the more recent decades show slightly warmer temperatures ?

THREE more blog posts by the indefatigable Mr. Keeler in today's on-line Beacon!  And not one letter-to-the editor (I have sent two) to the contrary!

Ah well, the question remains: why such passion?  When a writer resorts to name-calling ("Ecos" "Greenies"  "Eco-fascists") something is generally worth looking into.  So let me simply offer the interested reader  a few articles to read, and let him/her decide whether some caution may be advisable.  And perhaps the Beacon can explain why Mr. Keeler has taken over such a large proportion of the website?  And why no contrary point of view?

“IPCC: 30 years to climate calamity if we carry on blowing the carbon budget”

Global 2C warming threshold will be breached within 30 years, leading scientists report, with humans unequivocally to blame.

“The new IPCC climate change report makes deniers overheat”

As their erroneous efforts to discredit the 'Hockey Stick' curve reveal, sceptics are tying themselves in knots to maintain denial

From today's (Oct. 7) Krugman column in the New York Times; with respect for adult Republicans, substitute "Republicans" for "deniers" -

"It has been obvious for years that the modern Republican Party is no longer capable of thinking seriously about policy. Whether the issue is climate change or inflation, party members believe what they want to believe, and any contrary evidence is dismissed as a hoax, the product of vast liberal conspiracies."

Yet again, the eco facists cannot, will not address the stated question, rather, it is more of the same, tired 2nd hand responses from NEWSPAPERS that they trot out.  Their agenda fails.  The Guardian is their only source, is this the best they can offer ?

Mr. Keeler wants us to believe what he writes in a newspaper/blog, while we are expected to ignore reputable journalists reporting the findings of various international scientific bodies?

And still he refuses to answer the questions: why the passionate denial?  Why the denigrations and name-calling?  Why no caution in the face of widespread warnings?

To which one might add: why would one doubt the many reports in the Guardian?

Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much.
