The Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation is ready to party
This year’s Edmonds Arts Festival opening focuses on a celebration of the arts in the Edmonds community while providing a preview of the juried art and an opportunity to purchase the art before the festival’s opening.
It will be held from 7-10 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, at the Frances Anderson Center in Edmonds.
The galleries include an expansive Student Art exhibition from the Edmonds area.
The evening will open in the galleries, with savory appetizers by Shooby Doo Catering and a glass of wine from Arista Wine, or a non-alcoholic beverage.
Soft music will be provided for your listening enjoyment while viewing the art and chat- ting with friends and acquaintances. Attendees will then progress
to the Plaza area where additional hors d’oeuvres will be served.
The Easy Company Band will play, and beer and cocktails will be available from Five Restaurant and Shooby Doo.
Desserts provided by Rev- elations Yogurt, the Rusty Pelican, and Chanterelle also will be served.
Attendees will receive a drawing ticket for a piece of art by one of our local art masters: Mike O’Day; Sam Scott; Andy Eccleshall; Sue Robertson; Dan LaChaussee; and Hung Nguyen.
A select piece of art will be available for the lucky holders of the winning tickets. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase additional drawing tickets. The pARTy is open to those 21 and over; admission is $55 per person, $25 of which will benefit local arts education projects.
Invitations will be mailed out on May 15; if you wish to receive one, please email your request, including name and address, to: EAFT@comcast. net OR send your request to: Edmonds Arts Festival, P.O. Box 212, Edmonds, WA 98020, Attn: Treasurer.
