Swedish CEO resigns after news report
Swedish Health Services Tony Armada resigned Tuesday, Feb. 21, less than two weeks after the Seattle Times ran an investigative story raising concerns about its neurosurgery institute on Cherry Hill.
The Swedish Board of Trustees named R. Guy Hudson as interim chief executive, a position that oversees five hospitals, including Swedish Edmonds.
Hudson is a pediatric urologic surgeon with a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington.
He earned his medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine, completed an internship and residency at Oregon Health and Science University and a fellowship at University of California at San Diego.
