Edmonds Police units were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at Pine Ridge Park located at 203rd St SW and 83rd Ave W in the City of Edmonds, Wednesday, at about 1:20 p.m.

Two adult males were seen walking away from the vehicle.  Moments later Edmonds PD officers determined the vehicle was stolen out of south Everett.

Additional Edmonds Police, Mountlake Terrace Police and a Marysville PD K9 unit responded to the area to assist in a search for the two males.

One suspect was taken into custody near the park with officers and the K9 unit continuing the search for the second suspect.  Information gathered at the scene led officers to believe that the suspects were involved in residential burglaries in the area and one suspect may be armed with a pistol.

To be safe the Edmonds School District was notified and nearby schools were locked down.

This included College Place, Edmonds Woodway HS, Maplewood School and Chase Lake Elementary.

The second suspect was located at about 2:50 p.m., in the same general area and taken into custody by an alert Edmonds PD officer.

The schools were then taken off of lock down and the students released.

Initial investigation uncovered that the suspects had committed several residential burglaries in the Pine Ridge Park area before being apprehended.

The investigation is continuing with the suspects still in custody.
