Summer Aire to host concert, ice cream social

Summer Aire will present the eighth annual End-of-Summer Concert and Ice Cream Social at 3 p.m. on Sept. 7 at Everett’s First Presbyterian Church.

This year’s concert is titled “Riding that Gospel Train.” Songs include music from Moses Hogan’s “Ain’t that Good News,” John Rutter’s “Feel the Spirit” and traditional spirituals, such as “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot,” “Elijah Rock,” “Shall We Gather at the River?” and much more.

Admission is a suggested donation of $5, although any donation will be accepted.

Summer Aire is a group of musicians from local churches and the Everett Chorale who sing throughout the summer.

The First Presbyterian Church is at 2936 Rockefeller Ave. in Everett.
