Sno-King Chorale closes season with ‘My Fair Lady’
Whether you sing in the shower, as you’re riding your bike, or with the car radio, you are invited to join the Sno-King Community Chorale for the musical classic My Fair Lady Saturday, June 8, 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. at Edmonds Center for the Arts, 410-Fourth Avenue North, downtown Edmonds.
Ever since the inimitable Rex Harrison and future star Julie Andrews premiered, respectively, the irascible Professor Henry Higgins and the winsome Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle, audiences have enjoyed such popular hits as: “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face,” “On the Street Where You Live,” and Get Me to the Church on Time.”
The 100-voice Chorale, under the direction of Frank DeMiero, will feature David Cornell (Higgins), Darla Kiste (Eliza), David Velin (Pickering), Ric Shallow (Freddy), Kerry Johnsen (Alfred P. Doolittle), and Linda Cornell (Mrs. Pearce).
Tickets are $20 for adults; $15 for students and seniors; $10 for children 12 and under or groups of 10 or more seniors. Call 425-275-9595 or www.ec4arts.com.
This final concert of the 2012-2013 season is sponsored by the Edmonds Arts Commission.
An announcement will be made soon for the exciting 2013-2014 series.
