Share the holiday spirit with Christmas House kids

Dec 12, 2012

The Snohomish County Visitor Information Centers will once again host drop-off boxes for donations of new toys, clothing or other suitable gifts for Christmas House.

Christmas House is an Everett-based nonprofit organization providing opportunities for qualifying, low-income, Snohomish County parents to select free holiday gifts for their children, ranging in age from infant to 18 years of age.

The donation boxes are located inside the visitor centers and donations can be dropped off during business hours until mid-December.

The goal of Christmas House is for every child who receives gifts through the organization to wake up Christmas morning with new gifts under their tree.

It accepts new items and also accepts “like-new” stuffed animals and used bicycles that have been routed through a partner charity Sharing Wheels, which refurbishes used bikes and then donates them to Christmas House.

Other used clothing, toys and items should be donated to other local non-profit organizations.

Visit the Christmas House website at www.christmas-house.org for gift ideas for young kids to teenagers and more information about its work.
