Bring your sewing machine or serger, some basic sewing tools and help the Snohomish County Clothing and Textile Advisors (CTA) sew large tote bags for the foster children brought to Safe Place.

The totes are used to carry all the earthly possessions of these little children as they begin their move through the system.

In the past, garbage bags have been used – which sends a very bad message.  We want to help change this.

There will be plenty of bottom weight and eye-catching print fabric provided for the totes.

Have fun sewing with us from 10 a.m.-2 p.m,, Friday, Jan. 18 at McCollum Park, 600 128th ST. S.E., Everett in a classroom behind the WSU Extension Office.

Arlene Harrison will lead the project.  Contact Carla Peery 206-595-9717 for more information.  Bring a brown bag lunch.
