Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program applications now available
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program applications are now available at www.sssc.org and at local senior centers.
Eligible low-income seniors receive $40 worth of checks to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at authorized farmers markets or farm stands.
To apply for the program, eligible individuals must complete and send in an application by May 31 to Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program 11627 Airport Rd., Suite B, Everett, WA 98204.
Because of the limited number available, checks will be distributed by a random selection process among the total applications received. Checks will be mailed by July 5 to those whose names were selected.
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, operated by Senior Services of Snohomish County, is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the State of Washington.
