Mar 25, 2013
"Give us a kiss, luv" by Clifford Burkey is one of the paintings showing at Gallery North in Edmonds this month.

Gallery North is pleased to welcome the Seattle League of Arts this April with a juried show exhibiting paintings created by its member artists in a variety of mediums.

The juried artists include Betty Bartlett, Beth Betker, Susan Bloch, Clifford Burkey, Carol Castaneda, Elaine Cohn, Lynn Kerr, and Eunice Smith.

In addition, the league will also be displaying artwork from other member in the gallery’s loft.

The Seattle League of Arts was originally formed as the Lake City Art League in 1964, but soon changed its name as artists from around the Seattle area became members.

The league has continued to be a presence in the Seattle art scene providing a place where artists can meet, learn, and share their art work with other artists and their community.

The public is invited to meet the artists at a special artists’ reception on Sunday, April 14 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Refreshments will be served.

The artists will also attend the Edmonds Third Thursday Art Walk, April 18, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Gallery North is a non-profit artist cooperative established in 1961 and has been serving local artists and our community for more than 50 years.
