Port of Edmonds plans development on Admiral Way
The Port of Edmonds is in the initial stages of planning to develop a vacant parcel of land at the marina, said Bob McChesney, the Port’s executive director.
The property is on Admiral Way, directly across from Anthony’s HomePort and immediately south of the existing work yard.
The project requires a shoreline permit from the city of Edmonds, and the Port has retained Jackson/Main Architects to provide the necessary application documents.
McChesney said he anticipates obtaining the permit by September.
The 6,200-square-foot building’s use will be marina-related, McChesney said, such as boat dealership, repairs, and marine retail.
The construction schedule has not been determined.
“The Port’s mission is to promote economic development and environmental stewardship for the benefit of the community,” McChesney said.
“We are very excited to bring this project forward, and we expect it will create new jobs and contribute additional tax revenues for the city.”
