Pedestrian signs show Edmonds cares | Letters
Perhaps the pedestrian flags provide a false sense of security, but at least it’s a gesture that Edmonds cares (“Stop, be patient, wait your turn,” Letters to the Editor, March 30).
For people who need to slowly cross at an intersection or are overwhelmed by the traffic, the flags can be comforting. I have unfortunately witnessed frightening pedestrian-car accidents in other countries, and our own.
I feel the flags are done tastefully and are a sign that we care about pedestrians. Now if only we could rely on our drivers to provide the same example.
