Meadowdale hosts benefit drama, dinner, bingo

The Meadowdale Arts and Music Booster Organization (MAMBO) invites the community to a number of events in October at Meadowdale High School, 6002 168th St. SW, Lynnwood.

“Boys vs Girls”: The Meadowdale Players drama department kicks off its season with the annual Boys vs. Girls” show. There the two comedic plays, written by Tanner Powell and Alyssa Olton and directed by Peter Davies, one with an all-female cast and one with an all-male cast.

The audience votes for its favorite by donation.

Shows are 7 p.m. Oct. 20 and 8 p.m. Oct. 21 in Meadowdale High School’s Black Box Theatre. Free admission. Donations help buy scripts and fund sets and costumes for the Meadowdale Players.

Before the Oct. 20 show, there will be a catered meal from Olive Garden before the show in the school’s Great Hall. The pasta bar, at $10, begins at 6 p.m., with doors opening at 5:45 p.m.

Dinner is limited to the first 100 guests.

Spooktacular Bingo: On Oct. 27 from 6:30-9 p.m. in the Great Hall, MAMBO is hosting an evening of “Spooktacular Bingo.” Show up in costume and win prizes.

$7 buys participants a book of bingo cards. Snacks and dessert will be available for purchase.

All proceeds benefit Meadowdale’s visual and performing arts programs.
