Meadowdale falls to Oak Harbor, faces loser out district match | Prep volleyball

The Meadowdale volleyball team lost it’s first match of the 3A Wesco District tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The Mavericks lost 3-2 to Oak Harbor.

Meadowdale moves into a loser-out consolation match against Shorewood on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 5 p.m. at Meadowdale High School.

Against Oak Harbor, the Mavericks lost 25-18, 22-25, 22-25, 25-18 and 16-18.

Tara Fishback had 49 assists during the series, with 12 digs, while Sloane Morrison added 17 kills, Kaylan Cummins added 14 kills and 19 digs, while Amy Rickel had 23 digs.

If the Mavericks win on Thursday night against Shorewood, the team will the loser of the Everett vs. Oak Harbor game on Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. at Glacier Peak High School.

In order to qualify for the 3A state tournament, the Mavericks will have to win their next three matches, to finish in third place and earn the final state berth.

Playoff information will be updated as the tournaments are played.
