Meadowdale falls 5-2 to Glacier Peak | Boys prep tennis

The Meadowdale boys tennis team lost a league match to Glacier Peak on Wednesday, Oct. 15, with a final score of 5-2.

In singles matches, Nick Ekern lost 6-0, 6-1 to Patrick Luangrath, while Bret Matysik beat Scott Wilson 0-6, 6-1, 6-0. Grayson Cox beat Clayton Juarez 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5). Lee Bruemmer lost to Jack Wygant 4-6, 7-6 (7-4) 6-3.

In the doubles matches, Quint turner and Mark Steinke lost to Ethan Jones and Tucker Davis 6-2, 7-5 and Meadowdale’s Justin Ridley and Bennett Holton beat Peter Vizzoni and Andrew Kim 6-4, 7-6 (7-5). Jacob O’Connell and Ephrem Yared lost to Alec Albrecht and Dylan Peterson 6-4, 6-0.

The Mavericks are 7-5 in league this year and 10-5 overall. The team will play Everett on Thursday, Oct. 17 at Meadowdale at 3:30 p.m.

The Mavericks will begin the post season with the 3A south division tournament on Oct. 22 at Glacier Peak High School.
