Meadowdale dominates against Mountlake Terrace | Boys prep tennis

The Meadowdale boys tennis team earned a league win on Wesdnesday, Sept. 17, beating Mountlake Terrace 7-0.

In singles, Nick Ekern beat Bryce Pingul 6-0, 6-0, while Bret Matysik beat Jeremy Ansdell 6-1, 6-0. Grayson Cox beat Adam Lorraine 7-5, 6-1 and Lee Bruemmer beat Brake Day 6-2, 6-2.

In doubles, Mark Steinke and Quint Turner beat Collin Rhodes and Ricky Bridges 6-4, 6-0, while Bennett Holton and Ephrem Yared beat Micheol Jung and Caleb Sill 6-0, 6-2. Anthony Smeester and Jacob O’Connell beat Ethan McGregor and Ben McGrover 6-0, 6-1.

Meadowdale is 1-0 in league this season and now 4-0 overall. The team will play Shorecrest on Thursday, Sept. 19 at Meadowdale at 3:30 p.m. and will travel to Shorewood on Monday, Sept. 23.
