Meadowdale blanks Shorewood | Prep football

The Meadowdale football team earned a big league win over Shorewood on Friday, Oct. 4. The Mavericks won 34-0 in a shutout.

The Mavs earned 14 points in the first quarter, with Josiah Evans scoring off a 39-yard pass from Jeremiah Evans, and a 8-yard run by Malik Braxton.

Braxton scored the only points in the second quarter, catching a 52-yard pass from Evans to end the half with Meadowdale leading 21-0.

In the third quarter, Braxton scored again, this time a 6-yard run, while Evans scored in the fourth, with the Brett Schafer kick blocked.

Meadowdale is 2-0 in league play and 4-1 overall this season. The Mavericks will play Mountlake Terrace on Friday, Oct. 11 in an 8 p.m. game at Edmonds Stadium. The Hawks are 0-1 and 2-3 this season, and are coming off a 28-13 win over Everett last Friday.
