Meadowdale beats Shorecrest by three | Boys prep basketball

The Meadowdale boys basketball team beat Shorecrest by three points during a league game on Tuesday, Jan. 7. The final score was 55-52 for the Mavericks.

Shorecrest held a 16-6 lead after the first quarter, and upped the score by 15 points in the second to hold a 31-19 lead at halftime.

Meadowdale took control in the second half, outscoring the Scots 18-12 in the third and 18-9 in the fourth to earn the win.

Barrett Carlow and Jacob Perkins each scored 12 points in the late game comeback, with Colin Costello added 10 points. Griffin Over scored seven points, Aidan O'Niell scored six points, Aaron Gurley added four and Malik Braxton scored three. Charlie White added one point during the win.

The Mavericks, now 1-3 in league games and 7-4 overall, will play at Marysville-Pilchuck on Friday, Jan. 10 at 7:15 p.m.
