Meadowdale beats Marysville teams | Boys prep swimming

The Meadowdale boys swim team traveled north on Thursday, Jan. 9 for a non-league meet against Marysville-Pilchuck and Marysville-Getchell. The Mavericks won both meets, beating the Chargers 108-73 and the Tomahawks 115-54.

The Mavericks 200 medley relay team of Andreas Quist, Micah Lund, Severin Robins and Conner Martin won in 1:55.76, while Chris Flynn won the 200 freestyle race in 1:57.96.

Carson VanFarowe won the 50 freestyle in 25.24 seconds and Flynn won the 100 butterfly race in 58.31 seconds. Quist finished in first place in the 500 freestyle race in 6:10.51, while VanFarowe was first in the 100 backstroke race in 1:04.61. Jordan Phipps was first in the 100 breaststroke.

The Mavericks 200 freestyle relay team of Flynn, Jack Busby, Peter Kelley and Cole Olson won in 1:39.75.

Meadowdale’s 200 freestyle relay team of Flynn, Busby, Kelley and Olson finished in second place in 3:49.05 to end the meet.

The Mavericks, now 6-0, will take on Kamiak at Kamiak High School on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 3:15 p.m.
