Master Gardener Foundation to host plant sale May 3
The Snohomish County’s Master Gardener Foundation’s annual Plant Sale is set for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.
This plant sale covers three parking lots! Thousands and thousands of plants are available.
For sale are 5,000 tomatoes starts with over a hundred tomato varieties, 4,000 herb and vegetable starts, perennials of all kinds, native plants, trees, shrubs, ground covers, specialty perennials, and living garden art.
The plant sale benefits the WSU-Snohomish County Extension Master Gardener program, non-profit organization.
Most of the plants have been raised, divided, and potted by Master Gardeners, who will be available to answer questions during the sale.
Additionally, several specialty nurseries will be selling unusual, hard-to-find plant varieties.
This once-a-year event is staged outside the Extension offices in south Everett at the back of McCollum Park, 600 128th St. S.E.
All proceeds go to the Snohomish County Master Gardener Foundation and provides support to the county’s Master Gardener projects, which include plant problem clinics throughout the county and three demonstration gardens, among other projects.
For more information call the Master Gardener Hotline at 425-357-6010 or visit the Foundation website at www.snomgf.org.
