Man’s body found in Sound
This morning at about 8:50 a.m., Edmonds Police received a call that a body was in the water off of Olympic Beach Park in Edmonds. A passerby had spotted the body floating face down just off the shoreline.
Edmonds Police and Fire District 1 personnel responded to the scene and removed the body from the water onto land and started administering CPR.
They were unable to revive the person. The person was described as an elderly male who was fully clothed except for his shoes.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner was contacted and will determine the specific cause of death, as well as releasing the name of the deceased once the next of kin have been notified.
