At about 12:30 p.m. Monday, Lynnwood Police were called to an in-progress robbery at a Lynnwood residence located in the 6200 block of 202nd Street SW, near Edmonds Community College.

According to Sgt. Sean Doty, police arrived to find an adult female occupant reporting two men, one wearing a mask and armed with a handgun, had forced their way into the residence after making initial contact with her at the front door.

The victim was the only occupant at the time. The victim reported the suspects put a pil- lowcase over her head and bound her wrists with tape. The victim reported both suspects fled on foot after they spent a brief time rummaging through the residence, Doty said.

The victim was able to remove the pillowcase and call 9-1-1.

Suspect 1 was described as a light-skinned, African-American male adult. Suspect 2 was wearing a hood/mask.

Lynnwood detectives are pursuing several leads in the case, including information that this was not a randomly targeted victim, Doty said.
