Peggy Kennedy, Director of the Edmond's Food Bank, joined the Edmond's Lions Club for dinner and to receive a check for $4,840 that club members raised by selling raffle tickets.  The tickets were for local markets, restaurants and specialty shops.  Peggy has worked with the Edmond's Food Bank for 32 years at the same location, the Methodist Church in Edmonds.  This year they served 538 families for Thanksgiving and 477 for Christmas. The average age for most volunteers is between 70-90 years, but teenagers are beginning to take an interest in this service for the community.  The food bank has a Christmas Toy Shop for kids from babies to age 16.  A thousand kids were given a book, stuffed animal and a toy last year.  The older kids got something age appropriate.
