King's girls golf wins 1A state title

The King's girls golf team won the 1A girls state title on Thursday, May 29 at Lake Spanaway Golf Couse.

The Knights finished in first place with a team total of 31.5 points, ahead of second place Seattle Academy with 19 points.

Individually, Hannah Roh finished in fourth place, with a two-day final score of 160, after 81 on the first day and 79 on the second day.

Charis Tsai finished the tournament with a 176, hitting 86 on day one and 90 on day two. Teammate Laura Wayne competed on the first day, finishing with a 103, but did not qualify for the second round of the tournament.

Elma's Lauryn Keating won the individual title with a two-day score of 151.
