King’s holds on for 7-3 win over Sultan | Prep football

The King’s football team earned a defensive win over Sultan on Friday, Oct. 4, beating the Turks 7-3.

The game started with King’s Nick Severson catching a 48-yard pass from Koa Wilkins in the first quarter. The Knights led 7-0, thanks to a good kick by Ryan Fransen at the end of the first quarter.

Both team were held scoreless in the second quarter, and in the third, Sultan’s Josh Gonzalez hit a 27-yard field goal to score the only points of the night for the Turks.

King’s is 3-0 in league play this season and 4-1 overall. The team will play at Cedarcrest on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. The Red Wolves are 1-1 in league play and 2-3 overall this season. Last Friday, Cedarcrest beat Granite Falls 21-7.
