King’s advances to district title match | Prep volleyball

The King’s volleyball team kept its perfect record and advanced to this weekends district championship game.

In the opening round of the tournament, King’s beat Blaine 3-0 with final scores of 25-14, 25-12 and 25-13.

Alysanne Van Dyke had 15 kills and Savanna Hanson posted nine kills during the win.

Later in the evening, the Knights beat Nooksack Valley in three games – 25-12, 25-14 and 25-13.

Van Dyke added 21 kills during the win, while Whitney Naber had nine kills and five aces.

King’s is now 16-0 and will play for the district title on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. at Lynden Christian High School. The Knights are guaranteed a spot in the Tri-District tournament, which will begin on Nov. 7 at King’s. The top six teams move on to the 1A state tournament in Yakima.

Playoff information will be updated as the tournament are played.
