Kids matter; so do you

Nov. 10-16 is American Education Week. What better way to support our schools than signing up to volunteer in a classroom?

Whether you're architect or an artist, a banker or a baker, a parent or a retired citizen, you have something to share.

Contact a neighborhood school. Offer to listen to young kids read. Share your career with older students. Help with afterschool tutoring. The kids matter and so do you!

It's easy and so important to find an hour a week, every other week or once a month to give to students. Step-up and step-in. Share your expertise with a school near you.

It's a wonderful way to thank teachers for their dedication and to support students.
