Kamiak dominates against Oak Harbor | Boys prep swimming

The Kamiak boys swim team returned from the holiday break with a big win over Oak Harbor on Jan. 9. The final score was 127-56.

The Knights 200 medley relay team of Shelby Lee, Alonzo Tacuyan, Ben Dovinh and Daniel Carey won in 1:47.68, while Henry Limm won the 200 freestyle race in 1:51.10. Limm also won the 100 butterfly event in 54.36 seconds, with Lee earning a win in the 200 individual medley event with a final time of 2:00.09, followed by Jared Christner winning the diving competition with 185 points.

Carey won the 100 freestyle race in 51.67 seconds, and Tacuyan was first in the 100 backstroke race in 1:06.84.

The Knights 200 freestyle team of Lee, Eben Schumann, Limm, Carey and Tristen Hansen finished in first place in 3:36.23.

The Knights, 5-0 so far this season, will compete in the Kentridge Invite on Saturday, Jan. 11 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.
