Jane Chadwick Bush: 1919-2016
Jane Elizabeth Chadwick Bush died Sept. 5, 2016. She was born Oct, 24, 1919, in Crawfordsville, Indiana, to H. Grady and Stella Wilson Chadwick. She earned her RN and BS from Indiana University in the 1940s and worked as an industrial nurse during WWII for North American Aviation in Los Angeles.
She later was a private-duty nurse in Oregon and a public health nurse in Indianapolis, where she met her husband, Aulden K. (Bud) Bush. They were married June 19, 1948, in Montgomery County, Indiana.
Jane and A.K. raised their family in Rossville, Illinois, her husband's hometown, where she supported her husband in his dental practice and on the farm for nearly 50 years. He preceded her in death in 1998.
Jane moved to Edmonds, Washington, in 1999 to be near her children, who survive her: daughter Jan Bush of Edmonds; son Edward G. Bush (Myrna) of Bristol, Tennessee, and their children Sarah, Mark (Jessica) and Rachel Bush and great-granddaughter Kennedy Grace Bush; and John C. Bush (Brenda) of Woodway, Washington, and their children Chelsea and Katie Bush.
Interment will be held in Rossville next year. In lieu of flowers, please remember Jane to the First Presbyterian Church of Rossville, Illinois, the Rossville Historical Society, or the Hoopeston (Illinois) Public Library.
Jane loved reading, antiques, people and world travel. She is greatly missed. "And she will always be my favorite mother!"
