Doug Kimura sent us some photos of the flooding in Edmonds on Sept. 19.
The nasty thunderstorm that struck Edmonds dropped rain and hail, flooded a portion of Highway 99 and even caused a few manholes to pop out of 220th Street SW near Winco.
Edmonds Police Sgt. Josh McClure said the storm, which swept through the area between about 12:30 and 1:15 p.m., caused several feet of standing water at 220th and Highway 99 and at 212th Street SW and Highway 99.
Several cars stalled in the flooded waters, he said.
“Winter weather is just around the corner,” McClure posted on the police department’s Facebook page.
“A good reminder to slow down when the roads are wet.”
