Edmonds Bookshop, 111 5th Ave. S, Edmonds, is hosting a book reading of newly released “Building Hope: the first 25 years of Housing Hope” at noon on Saturday Nov. 10.

Author David Buerge and Housing Hope’s Executive Director Ed Petersen will read from the book, answer questions and sign copies.

Building Hope is a story of community engagement as Housing Hope has grown from conception to their now leadership role in addressing poverty and homelessness in Snohomish County.

The book has a prologue by Petersen and an epilogue by Bill Gates Sr.

“The book is more than just a history of our agency,” says Petersen. “It’s a story of setting big goals to address pressing social problems, then seeing those goals achieved and being successful in making positive changes in the community.”
