Share the holiday spirit with Christmas House Kids
The Snohomish County Visitor Information Centers will once again host drop-off boxes for donations of new toys, clothing or other suitable gifts for Christmas House, an Everett-based nonprofit agency providing opportunities for qualifying, low-income, Snohomish County parents to select free holiday gifts for their children ranging in age from infant to 18 years of age.
The donation boxes are located inside the visitor centers and donations can be dropped off during business hours until mid-December.
Visit the Christmas House web site for gift ideas for young kids to teenagers and more information about its work.

The Edmonds Celebration of Lights
In the spirit of giving, light a light this holiday season for someone you love, something you wish for, or in remembrance of a loved one.
Each light you light is a donation to the City of Edmonds Youth Scholarship Fund that enables Edmonds’ children to participate in Edmonds Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services programs who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity.
A living fir tree is strung with lights and placed at the entrance of the Frances Anderson Center. Donate $5 per light and they will note your donation on the main floor bulletin board of the Frances Anderson Center.
The living fir tree will be lit the week of Thanksgiving through January 2, 2013. After the holidays, this tree will be planted in the interior of Yost Park.
To light a light, call 425-771-0230 and they’ll be happy to send you a form, or stop by the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main Street, Edmonds.
