Halloween Extravaganza to scare up some fun
Autumn can be lovely, but for many this is a “boo-tiful” time of year.
Ghosts and goblins will be out in force beginning Sunday, Oct. 27, for the annual Halloween Extravaganza in downtown Edmonds.
The fun includes a Free Pumpkin Carving, beginning at 12:30 p.m. until all the pumpkins are gone, at the Just Frogs activity booth in the parking lot at the corner of 4th and Dayton.
At 2:30 p.m., a free screening of “The Wizard of Oz” takes place at Edmonds Theatre. Tickets will be available at the pumpkin carving event, with doors opening at 2:15.
In addition, artists of all ages are invited to show their skills in a Scarecrow Coloring Contest. Pick up your entry at Coldwell Banker Bain, 108 5th Ave. S. Judging and prizes will be awarded Oct. 30.
Finally, a photographer at Coldwell Banker Bain will be taking free photos from 5-7 p.m. on Halloween night, Thursday, Oct. 31, when downtown businesses remain open for trick-or-treaters of all ages.
