This mixed media piece by Bonnie Johnson is in the exhibition at Gallery North’s annual Miniature & Small Paintings Show during March.

Gallery North hosts its Annual Miniature & Small Paintings Show in March with local, national, and international artists competing for recognition and prizes.

The exhibition will include paintings in a variety of mediums including watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, colored pencil, fabric, and mixed media.

All of the paintings are for sale, and those wishing to purchase are encouraged to shop early for the best selection.

This popular show presents a great opportunity to own original art.

Gallery North member Kathleen A. Johnson looks forward to this event each year. “It’s a chance to purchase a small treasure from my favorite artists; and because the paintings are small in size they are relatively affordable,” she said.

Come see the show in the gallery’s new location: 401 Main St., Edmonds.

Awards were presented in five categories. This year’s juror, Sheila Theodaratos, is an accomplished artist who has received numerous awards at the local, state, regional and international levels.

The gallery will host a reception during the Art Walk, from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 20. Refreshments will be served.
