Fire rescue boat tows plane ashore in Edmonds
About 1:51 p.m., 911 dispatchers were notified of a floatplane that was having engine problems.
The plane, containing the captain and two passengers, made a safe landing south of Edmonds, but had to be towed to the beach by a fire rescue boat this afternoon.
There were no injuries.
A captain from Kenmore Air notified 911 that the airplane had made a water landing, and needed to be towed to shore, said Leslie Hynes, public information officer for Snohomish County Fire District 1.
Fire District 1’s rescue boat, based at the Edmonds Marina, towed the floatplane to Marina Beach.
