Festival scares up lots of interest

The results of the First Annual Edmonds Scarecrow Festival were announced at the Museum's Heritage Days Fund Raising Benefit last week.

According to Dave Buelow of the Edmonds Museum Board, they had more than 50 registered scarecrows, and voters cast more than 500 ballots to determine the winners.

Pictures of the winning entries are on the museum website at www.historicedmonds.org.

“All the entries were great,” Buelow said.

But the top vote getters were:

Best Business in Bowl:

Winner: Windermere Real Estate – Despicable Scarecrow

Runner-Up:         Edmonds Conference Center – Clients of the Edmonds Conference Center

Best Business Outside Bowl:

Winner: Edmonds Veterinary Hospital – Doc McShaggy

Runner-Up:         Char Garrett, CPA – Stanley H McCrow

Residential:

Winner: Steve, Heather, Matthew and Amanda Margo – Flippin’ for Fall

Runner-Up (Tie) Gayle Crawford – Dave Scarecrow

Runner-Up (Tie) Shannon and Kevin Black – Early Edmonds Logger
