FD1 Lake Serene Station to host holiday party for neighborhood children
This neighborhood tradition begins at 10 a.m. at the fire station
Firefighters at Snohomish County Fire District 1 are inviting neighborhood families to attend the 19th annual holiday party at Lake Serene Fire Station 23 on Saturday, Dec. 8.
This neighborhood tradition begins at 10 a.m. at the fire station at 4323 Serene Way, Lynnwood.
Santa Claus will be making a special appearance with a little help from the firefighters. At the door, firefighters will be collecting canned goods and other nonperishable food items to donate to local food banks and families in need this holiday season.
To attend, RSVP to by Dec. 7 to Leslie Hynes, lhynes@firedistrict1.org, 425-551-1243, and prior to the party deliver to the fire station a wrapped gift ($10 value or less) labeled with first and last name for each child attending the party.
Santa Claus will hand out the gifts to each child during the party. The Lake Serene Fire Station crews are in service around the clock and may not be at the station if they are responding to emergency calls. If necessary, parents can turn in gifts as they arrive at the party.
Lake Serene Fire Station 23 is one of 12 stations staffed by Snohomish County Fire District 1, the largest provider of fire and emergency medical services in Snohomish County.
