Edmonds-Woodway upends Cascade | Girls prep basketball
The Edmonds-Woodway girls basketball team earned a strong league win over Cascade on Saturday, Jan. 4. The final score was 74-44 for the Warriors.
Edmonds-Woodway led 16-13 after the first quarter, but Cascade outscored the Warriors 9-5 in the second, earning the Bruins a 22-21lead at halftime.
In the second half, Edmonds-Woodway exploded on the court, scoring 25 points in the third quarter and 28 in the fourth to earn the win.
Natalie Kasper had a team high of 20 points against the Bruins, while teammate Mady Burdett scored 17 and Moni Jackson scored 12 points during the win. Sidney Eck scored 10 points, Allie Browning posted six points and Maddy Nealy scored four. Claire Fyfe and Missy Peterson each scored two and Kate Wooley added one point.
Edmonds-Woodway is 4-1 in league and 7-2 overall this season. The team will play Seattle Prep at home on Monday, Jan. 6 at 7:15 p.m.
