Edmonds-Woodway tennis player earns alternate spot at district tournament | Boys prep tennis

Edmonds-Woodway boys singles tennis player Grayson Turley will represent the Warriors as an alternate during the 4A district tournament next week.

Turley finished the 4A South division tournament in sixth place to become an alternate in the district tournament.

Teammate Riley O’Brien lost in the first round of the tournament to Jackson’s Trevor Pence 7-5, 6-0, while the Warriors doubles players Max Teer and Brandon Chen lost their quarterfinals match to eventual second place finishers Dominic Lee and Garrett Peterson of Kamiak 5-7, 7-6 (7-4) 6-4.

The 4A district tournament will be held in Mount Vernon starting on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
