Edmonds-Woodway, Meadowdale runners take part in Hole in the Wall invite | Prep cross country
The Edmonds-Woodway and Meadowdale cross country teams traveled to Lakewood High School on Saturday, Oct. 12 for the 30th annual Hole in the Wall invite.
The Edmodns-Woodway boys varsity team finished in 17th place with 454 points, while Meadowdale finished with 742 points for 29th place.
Individually, Miler Haller was second overall in the race with a time of 15:39. Teammate Benjamin Yang was 114th in 17:30, Sam McCloughan was 127th, Elliot Harrison was 130th, Noushyar Eslami was 132nd and Jonah Cortezzo was 147th.
For Meadowdale, Dominic Giordano finished in 100th place in 17:20, while Chikodi Ezeokeke was 121st and Josh Verzola was 158th.
In the girls race, Edmonds-Woodway finished in 15th place with 433 points.
Hailey Kettel was 20th overall for the Warriors with a time of 19:10, followed by Kathryn Haldeman in 63rd place in 20:11. Hayley Tengs was 73rd overall, Susan Kim was 145th and Svetlana Alabyeva was 166th.
Both teams will take part in the Edmonds District Championship on Thursday, Oct. 17 at Lynndale Park.
