Edmonds-Woodway girls, boys win meet | Prep cross country

The Edmonds-Woodway cross country teams notched a couple of wins on Thursday, Oct. 10, with both the boys and girls team beating Oak Harbor and Stanwod.

In the girls race, the Warriors won with 26 points. The Wildcats had 47 points for second place and Stanwood had 50 for third place. The Warriors boys had 30 points for first place, followed by Oak Harbor in second and Stanwood in third.

Individually, Hailey Kettel finished in first place with a time of 19:59, while Kathryn Haldeman was third in 20:50. Hayley Tengs was fifth in 21:12, Suan Kim was eighth in 22:19 and Lana Alabyeva was ninth in 22:30.

In the boys race, Oak Harbor’s John Rodehoeffer finished in first place with a time of 17:06, while Miler Haller was second in 17:13. Benjamin Yang finished in fourth place for the Warriors in 17:46, Sam McCloughan was sixth in 17:51, Elliot Harrison finished in eighth in 17:55 and Jonah Cortezzo was ninth in 18:02.
