Edmonds-Woodway falls to Mount Vernon, faces loser out match Thursday | Prep volleyball

The Edmonds-Woodway volleyball team, which entered the 4A Wesco volleyball district tournament as the No. 1 seed, continue to fight through the tournament after losing in the semifinals.

The Warriors lost to Mount Vernon 3-0 on Tuesday, Nov. 5 and advance to the district consolation semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 7.

Against the Bulldogs, the Warriors lost 25-21, 27-25, 25-19.

Senior Mikenna Vogel had 15 kills during the game, while teammate Sid Eck posted 10 kills, 16 digs and three blocks.

Edmonds-Woodway will play Monroe on Nov. 7 at 5 p.m. at Mariner High School in a loser out game. The winner will take on the winner of the Jackson vs. Lake Stevens match, with a chance to play a KingCo team for the final berth to the 4A state tournament.

Playoff information will be updated as the tournaments are played.
