Edmonds-Woodway falls to Cascade | Boys prep tennis

The Edmonds-Woodway boys tennis team lost to Cascade on Wednesday, Sept. 18. The final score was 5-2.

In the singles competition, Max Teer lost 6-0, 6-2 to Patrick Chung, while Warrior Brandon Chen beat Chris Kapetanov 6-2, 6-2. Brian Song lost to Sim Josephson 3-6, 7-5, 6-0, and Adam Gill lost to Joseph Hall 7-5, 6-4.

In the doubles matches, Riley O’Brien and Chase Holmes lost to Adam McArthur and Nick Norrence 7-6 (7-5) 6-2. Conner Santel and Kit Teer lost 6-0, 7-5 to Blake Hilde and Aaron Bertell.

Edmonds-Wooday’s Quinn Walker and Evan Lester beat Alex Tran and Intae Oh 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 in the last match of the day.

The Warriors are 0-2 in league this season and 0-3 overall. The team will play at Mariner on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 3:30 p.m. and will take on Lynnwood on Monday, Sept. 23.
