Edmonds-Woodway defeats Lake Stevens 5-2 | Boys prep tennis

The Edmonds-Woodway boys tennis team earned a non-league win over Lake Stevens on Wednesday, Sept. 25. The Warriors won 5-2.

In singles matches, Max Teer lost 3-6, 6-1, 6-3 to Grant Schultz, while Brandon Chen beat Tyler Hilde 6-2, 6-2. Grayson Turley beat Stephen Ball 6-0, 6-4 and Brian Song lost to Troy Lian 6-2, 6-4.

In doubles, Chase Holmes and Riley O’Brien beat Alec Arevalo and Nick Claymore 6-2, 6-4. Connor Santel and Kit Teer beat Bryce Morton and Scotty Spitzer 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3). Evan Lester and Quinn Walker beat Macray Jerome and Nolan Hoglung 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.

Edmonds-Woodway is 3-3 in league this year and 3-4 overall this season. The Warriors will play at Snohomish on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 3:30 p.m. and will face off against Arlington on Monday, Sept. 30 at 3:30 p.m.
