Edmonds-Woodway beats Mountlake Terrace | Prep fastpitch

The Edmonds-Woodway fastpitch team earned a non-league win on Monday, March 24 over Mountlake Terrace. The final score was 6-3 for the Warriors.

Edmonds-Woodway started the game with three runs in the bottom of the first, and responded to the Hawks run in the second with two more to hold a 5-1 lead going into the third inning.

Mountlake Terrace scored twice more, once in the top of the fourth and the final run of the game in the top of the seventh, but it wasn’t enough to overtake the early Warriors lead.

Edmonds-Woodway scored six runs off eight hits with two errors, while Mountlake Terrace had three runs off six hits and two errors.

Edmonds-Woodway’s Cheyanne Strock was credited with the win, with six hits and four strike outs. Teammate Samone Jackson was 2-4 at the plate with two runs, while Kelly DeBella was 1-2 with two RBI. Jackie Lovelace hit a triple and had an RBI, while Taylor Jones posted a double with an RBI.

The Warriors, now 2-1 this season, will play at Shorecrest on Tuesday, March 25 at 4:30 p.m.
